USA Water Polo Announces 2006 Men’s Junior National Team

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., May 30. THE Men’s National Water Polo Program held open tryouts for the Junior National Team over Memorial Day weekend at the USA Water Polo National Training Center in Los Alamitos, California. Twenty five athletes who were born in 1987 or 1988 were selected to train for the following 2006 events. The team’s first trip will be June 26-July 10 in Italy and Slovakia. The travel team will be selected on June 2.

“A lot of the guys we chose have been on involved in the National Team Program for many years now,” said Men’s Junior National Team Head Coach Doug Peabody. “They have a lot of experience now, but there is always room to improve.”
