USA Swimming Sectionals, Clovis: Penultimate Day In The Bag
CLOVIS, California, July 23.WITH one more day left of the USA Swimming Sectionals held in Clovis, swimmers in attendance can see the light at the end of the tunnel in the long course meter competition.
Alicia Grima touched out Shannyn Hultin, 2:19.45 to 2:19.46, for the women's 200 IM crown. Ally Howe placed just behind with a third-place 2:19.66. Jordan Litz topped the men's 200 IM in 2:06.37, while Evan Simoni finished second in 2:07.40. Phillip Morrison wound up third in 2:07.62.
Maddy Schaefer pocketed the women's 50 free title in 26.03. Cheyenne Coffman placed second in 26.11, while Kasey Carlson wound up third in 26.22. Joey Hale snared the men's 50 free in 23.08, while Shayne Fleming wound up second in 23.10. Chris Pipes picked up third in 23.63.
Scotty Korotkin won the men's 400 free in 4:02.44. Phillip Morrison earned second in 4:03.82, while Nicholaus Johnson completed the podium with a third-place 4:05.31.
Women's 400 free results were not made available.
