USA Swimming Names Coaching Staffs for 2005 International Competitions

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, November 26. USA Swimming was pleased to announce earlier this week selection of the head coaches for the 2005 World Championships and 2005 World University Games.

Heading up the World team will be Dave Salo of Irvine Novaquatics on the men’s side and Jack Bauerle of the University of Georgia/Athens Bulldogs on the women’s side.

Santa Clara’s Dick Jochums and the University of Texas’ Jill Sterkel will coach the men and women, respectively, at the 2005 World University Games.

The swimmers and assistant coaches for these competitions will be selected at the Trials meet, April 1-6, in Indianapolis, Ind.

The 2005 World Championships will be held in Montreal, July 17-31.

The World University Games will be held in Izmir, Turkey, Aug. 11-21.
