UNLV Hosts Cal Men and Both North Carolina Squads at Opening of Spring Semester

LAS VEGAS, NV, January 6. THE UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams will see their toughest competition of the season today as the Rebels host a pair of top-15 teams in California and North Carolina, per Rebel reports.

The tri-meet will start at 1 pm at Buchanan Natatorium.

The Rebels will be seeing their first action since the UNLV Winter Invitational in December, where the men (3-1) finished third while the UNLV women (4-3) took second place. Following Thursday's meet, UNLV will take on Florida Atlantic on its Winter Break Training Trip on Jan. 14 in Boca Raton, Fla., before returning to conference action.

Cal will be bringing just its men's squad, which is currently ranked sixth in the nation with a 2-0 record. The North Carolina are bring both of its top 15-ranked teams, as the men are 3-1 with a No. 14 ranking, while the women's squad is ranked 14th with a 4-1 mark.
