U.S. Olympic Trials Sold Out For All 8 Days

OMAHA, Neb. – For the first time ever, the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming are completely sold out for the entire eight days of competition, June 26-July 3 at the CenturyLink Center Omaha.

Prior to each of the 15 sessions, there will be approximately 200 standing room only tickets that go on sale exclusively at the CenturyLink Center Omaha ticket office. SRO tickets for the morning preliminary sessions cost $15 and will go on sale at 8 a.m. daily, while evening finals tickets are $40 and will go on sale at 4:45 p.m.

“The excitement of watching America’s greatest swimmers compete for a spot on the U.S. team going to Rio continues to build and we are thankful U.S. swimmers will compete in front of a sold-out arena every morning and evening in Omaha,” said Mike Unger, USA Swimming Assistant Executive Director. “We know there are swim fans still hoping to watch the competition and we are working with the Omaha Sports Commission and MECA to create standing room only areas allowing more fans to experience each day of the Trials.”

More than 200,000 total tickets were sold for the eight days of competition, eclipsing the more than 167,000 sold in 2012 and 160,000-plus in 2008.

“The two Olympic pools inside CenturyLink Center Omaha are built, filled and final touches are being made for the competition to begin on June 26,” said Harold Cliff, Omaha Sports Commission President. “More than 1,800 swimmers have qualified to compete in Omaha and the city is ready to welcome people from around the world to this exciting competition. A new American attendance record for a swimming event will again be established in Omaha during the eight days of competition, and we hope several new American and world records will be established by the swimmers.”

In addition to what is sure to be an electric competition, the USA Swimming Aqua Zone fan festival, set for June 25-July 3, will feature 40-plus Olympian autograph sessions, 35 interactive experiences and more than 100,000 square feet of air-conditioned fun for fans of all ages.
