COSENZA, Italy, September 7. THE United States’ men’s junior national water polo team returned from Italy without any victories at the International Six Nations Water Polo Tournament. Under the direction of coach Doug Peabody, the team will compete at the Junior World Championships in Argentina from October 7-15.

A relatively youthful squad compared to the teams from other nations, the United States dropped a 16-6 decision to Italy and a 15-5 setback to Greece. The American unit also fell to Russia (12-4), Spain (9-4) and Slovakia (12-6). J.W. Krumpholz accounted for five goals during the event and Caleb Hamilton scored in four of the five games.
