Two British Swimmers to be Inducted into Hall of Fame
LONDON, England, May 11. A swimmer dubbed the Queen of the English Channel following 40 separate crossings and a Masters swimmer responsible for more than 50 world records are to be inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF). Induction will take place this weekend at the ISHOF in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
British open water swimmer Alison Streeter (Redhill) has swam the Channel 40 times, as well as three double and a triple crossings, and has competed at 18 international competitions during her long career. Streeter becomes only the third British open water swimmer to be included into the Hall of Fame.
