NEW COMMIT: Tulane University has earned their first verbal commitment from Skillman, N.J. native Hailey Roberti who will join next fall as a member of the class of 2023.

Roberti does her club swimming with Somerset Valley YMCA and capped off her long course season with a seventh-place finish in the 200m fly at YMCA LCM Championships. She competed at YMCA Nationals in April where she again finaled in the 200 fly after achieving four lifetime bests at NJ YMCA State Championships.

Representing Montgomery High School, Roberti competed in the 200 free and 100 fly at the NJSIAA State Championships during her sophomore season. Primarily a butterflyer, she has continuously dropped time each season and is also a strong freestyler.

She told Swimming World:

“I am honored to continue my academic and athletic career at Tulane. Coach Stancil and the girls were so welcoming and I’m excited to call Tulane my home next year! Roll Wave!”

Her best times include:

  • 100 fly – 56.83
  • 200 fly – 2:03.87
  • 100 free – 53.06
  • 200 free – 1:53.39
  • 500 free – 5:02.26

Roberti will make a big splash for the Green Wave when she arrives in New Orleans at the start of the 2019-20 season. Her best 200 fly time would’ve ranked third on their lineup last season and she would’ve scored in the B-final of both butterfly distances at the 2018 American Conference Championships.
