Carollo does her club swimming with Patriot Aquatics and achieved the Winter Nationals standard in the 100m back at Juniors this summer after placing third in the event at Illinois Seniors in July. She recorded a pair of best times at Juniors West last winter and was the 100 back runner-up at Pleasant Prairie Sectionals in March.

Also competing for Adlai E. Stevenson, Carollo has competed at the Illinois State Championships each of her three high school seasons so far. She finished fourth in the 100 back as a junior after placing sixth in the event during her sophomore season. She has also earned NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.

She told Swimming World:

“I am so excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Tulane University next fall! Thank you to everyone that helped me get here! I cannot wait to call Tulane my new home! ROLL WAVE!”

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 26.34
  • 100 back – 55.30
  • 200 back – 2:02.11
  • 50 free – 24.49
  • 100 free – 52.45

Carollo will make an immediate impact when she suits up for Tulane as a member of the class of 2023. She would’ve scored in the A-final of the 100 back and the B-final of the 200 back at the 2018 American Conference Championships.
