NEW COMMIT: Tulane University has received a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from Junior National qualifier Andrea Zeebe of Honolulu, Hawaii.

She will join Grace Dale, Elena GingrasSydney Mullin and Olcaytu Hatipoglu as a member of the Green Wave’s Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so happy to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Tulane University! A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, roll wave!! ??”

Zeebe trains year-round with Kamehameha Swim Club and earned 10 best times at the ISCA International Senior Cup in March, placing fifth in the 200 IM for her highest finish. She also posted seven top-5 finishes at the Hawaii Age Group Championships in February 2020, including runner-up finishes in the 100 breast and 200 IM.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.96
  • 100 free – 52.82
  • 200 free – 1:53.35
  • 100 back – 55.85
  • 200 back – 2:01.42
  • 200 IM – 2:04.44

Zeebe is now in her senior year at Punahou High School. As a sophomore, she helped her school earn their sixth-straight team title and was a member of the winning 4×50 medley and 4×100 free relays.

Under head coach Leah Stancil, Tulane finished fifth overall in the team standings at the 2020 American Athletic Conference Championships.

Zeebe will make a big impact when she suits up for the Green Wave as her best times in the 100/200 back would’ve scored in the A-final at the 2020 AAC Championships, as well as the B-final of the 50 free and 200 IM.
