Towson Picks Up Verbals From Hailey Ritter, Parker Schulz

NEW COMMITS: Towson University has received a pair of verbal commitments from Hailey Ritter and Parker Schulz, both of whom will join the Tigers as members of the class of 2023.

Ritter, who hails from Church Hill, Md., swims year-round with Naval Aquatic Club and capped off her long course season at the TYR Senior Championships as a seven-time finalist. At Christiansburg Speedo Sectionals in March, she made finals in the 50 free and 100 fly and recorded a lifetime best in the latter.

Also swimming for Queen Annes County High School, Ritter was crowned the 100 fly champion at the MPSSAA State Championships and was the runner-up in the 50 free as a junior. She won both the 50 free and 100 fly as a sophomore and earned the 50 free title during her freshman campaign.

She told Swimming World:

“I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my education and swimming career at Towson University!! A huge thank you to my family, coaches, and friends for helping me in this process. Go Tigers!”

  • 50 free – 24.21
  • 100 free – 53.52
  • 100 fly – 57.31

Parker Schulz

A native of North Wales, Penn., Schulz does her club swimming with North Penn Aquatic Club and most recently competed at Richmond Futures after recording five lifetime bests and making five finals appearances at the Middle Atlantic Senior LCM Championships. She also swam at the Middle Atlantic Senior SCY Championships in March and qualified for finals in the 200 free.

Schulz is a two-time Pennsylvania 3A State Championship qualifier for North Penn Senior High School. She placed 12th in the 200 free and 15th in the 500 free as a junior and raced the 100 free as a sophomore. Last season, she swam her way to a best 200 free time at the PIAA District 1 meet a week prior to State.

She told Swimming World:

“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my education and swimming career at Towson University.  I chose Towson because of their amazing team, coaching staff and their success in and out of the pool.  During my visits I experienced life as a Tiger and I knew it was meant to be my home for the next four years! I couldn’t ask for a more perfect family and I can’t wait to see what happens in the future! Go Tigers!!”
