Toronto Swim Club’s Lennan Ebli to Join Sister at Yale in Fall 2028
NEW COMMIT: Yale University has kickstarted its recruiting for Fall 2028 with a verbal pledge* from Canadian international Lennan Ebli of Toronot, Ontario. Ebli excels in IM, butterfly and freestyle.
She’s the first public verbal commitment* for an Ivy League school for the Class of 2032. Her older sister, Julia Ebli, is currently a sophomore on Yale’s roster and was their top 50/100/200 freestyler last year.
Regarding her commitment, she said:

At the Ontario Championships in July, Ebli won the 100m fly and was the runner-up in the 200m IM. That was after she finished ninth in both the 100m fly and 200m free at Canadian Swimming Trials a week prior. She earned silver in the 50m fly at the Toronto Grand Prix in January before posting six top-5 finishes at the Ontario Age Group Championships in March, highlighted by runner-up showings in the 50m fly and 200m IM.
Ebli trains year-round with Toronto Swim Club.
In LCM, her best times include:
- 50m fly – 28.21
- 100m fly – 1:01.92
- 200m IM – 2:23.32
- 400m IM – 5:11.85
- 100m free – 59.65
- 200m free – 2:08.72
In SCY, those times convert to:
- 50 fly – 24.68
- 100 fly – 54.36
- 200 IM – 2:04.25
- 400 IM – 4:29.75
- 100 free – 52.07
- 200 free – 1:52.63
Ebli’s top time in 100 fly (converted to yards) would’ve ranked second on Yale’s roster a season ago and would’ve scored in the B-final at the 2026 Ivy League Championships.
The Bulldogs finished fifth in the team standings at the 2026 Ivy League Championships.
