Tim Raab Commits to the University of Tennessee
Tim Raab, a senior at Brentwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee has committed to swim at the University of Tennessee.
Raab shared,
“Unlike my older sister, I never expected to be able to swim in college. Yet after I had been swimming in high school for only two seasons, Matt Kredich contacted me and I came to Knoxville for a visit. I was swayed by the incredible opportunities and unique coaching style that UT swimming had to offer. At that point, I knew Tennessee was the place for me.”
The future Vol has a best times of 20.83 in the 50 freestyle, good for a Winter Juniors cut. In the 100 freestyle, he has recorded a 46.28.
At the 2016 Southeastern Conference Championships, it took a 20.11 to make it back into the scoring C final, an event Tennessee had three scoring swimmers in. With only two seasons of high school swimming experience, Raab still has great potential.
The Tennessee men earned the Volunteer’s best NCAA finish in the past 15 years when they finished seventh in March.
