BONDI BEACH, Australia. January 12. DURING the 2007 North Bondi Classic race, Australia open water swimming star Luane Rowe recalled, "Only 15 of us finished due to [blooms of] blue bottles that were blown onto the race course."
The video shows how the Bondi lifeguards not only rescued the swimmers, but also treated the painful stings.
