Texas Christian Opens Class of 2025 Recruiting with Verbals from Jeanne Dahmen, Olivia Rhodes

NEW COMMITS: Texas Christian University has officially opened their class of 2025 recruiting after receiving a pair of verbal commitments from Pointe-Claire, Quebec native Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia Rhodes of Charlotte, N.C.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at TCU!! I was drawn by Coach Winchester’s devotion to his athletes and ambitions for this ever-growing swimming program, the amazing coaching staff and the family-like team. I’m so grateful for all of the support I got throughout this process. Go Frogs!”

Primarily a butterflyer, Dahmen swims year-round with Pointe-Claire Swim Club and recently raced two events at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville. She finished fourth in the 100m fly and fifth in the 50m fly at the Ontario International Junior meet in December and was the 50m fly runner-up at the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships in 2019.

Her best times include (LCM/SCY conversion):

  • 50m fly – 27.63/24.14
  • 100m fly – 1:01.56/54.60
  • 200m fly – 2:19.83/2:04.58
  • 100m free – 59.63/52.71

Last summer, Dahmen won the 100m fly and took seventh in the 200m fly at the Canadian Junior Championships. At the Canadian Swimming Trials in April 2019, she finished 13th in the 50m fly.

OLIVIA RHODES

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Texas Christian University!! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for supporting me since day 1! I’m so excited to see what the future holds at TCU! Go Horned Frogs!!”

A talented sprint freestyler, Rhodes does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina and owns the Junior National cut in the 50 free. She most recently placed fifth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 back at North Carolina Seniors and won the 200 back at the ATOM December Invitational in 2019.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.34
  • 100 free – 51.14
  • 100 back – 57.11

A rising senior at Charlotte Catholic High School, Rhodes is a four-time North Carolina 3A State Championship finalist. She earned gold in the 50 free and bronze in the 100 free as a junior while grabbing bronze in the 50 free during her sophomore season.
