Tennessee all but swept the awards of the third week of SEC Swimming and Diving athletes of the week.

On the men’s side, junior Sam McHugh claimed Male Swimmer of the Week after a dominant performance in last weekend’s dual meet with North Carolina. McHugh powered to four individual wins to help lead Tennessee to a 215-156 victory. Fellow junior Liam Stone earned Male Diver of the Week after grabbing second place finishes in the 1-meter (359.94) and 3-meter (431.78) springboard, as well as a fourth place finish in platform diving (270.30).

Senior Colleen Callahan led the women’s side with three top showings against North Carolina last weekend, earning her Female Swimmer of the Week. Teammate Tess Cieplucha nabbed Female Freshman of the Week after winning her first collegiate race in the women’s 400 IM (4:17.12). Cieplucha was the only Tennessee freshman to win an individual event throughout the meet. Rachel Rubadue, sophomore, added the title of Female Diver of the Week to an impressive week after finishing first in both the 1-meter springboard (320.25) and platform (318.60) diving events.

The only non-Tennessee athlete to earn SEC recognition in week three was Adam Koster of Texas A&M. Koster, a freshman, contributed to the Aggie’s win over Incarnate Word with a first place showing in the 100 free (45.69) and a second place showing in the 50 free (20.81) for Male Freshman of the Week.
