SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: May 19, 2007

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 19. WITH the summer season beginning, news picked up on SwimmingWorldMagazine.com. Meanwhile, the hottest topic of the week for the site proved to be European correspondent Steven Selthoffer's column on the L'Equipe leaks that routinely take place regarding anti-doping procedures.

The article not only received the attention of the World Anti-Doping Agency and one of its representatives Janet Evans, but also the eyes of our readership. When all is said and done, the question still remains – who is leaking supposedly iron-clad confidential information about athletes going through the anti-doping testing process to L'Equipe before the process has had a chance to complete itself?

In other items of interest, Newsmaster intern Brian Savard spoke with the legendary Peter Daland about dual meet strategy, while senior writer John Lohn previewed the Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix in premium pieces.

Meanwhile, Bay Area Masters swimmer Marcia Benjamin checked in as our newest "A Day in the Life" writer, while SwimmingWorld.TV took a look behind the scenes of a Nike photo shoot held in Tucson, Ariz., on the campus of the University of Arizona.

We also continued our Promising Seniors-To-Be series, while also keeping an eye on all sorts of meets throughout the world.
