SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: December 30, 2006
PHOENIX, Arizona, December 30. IN the final SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Channel Recap of 2006, we take a look back at the previous week before heading into the New Year.
The aquatics sports community mourned the passing of two giants within swimming and water polo. With President Gerald Ford passing, the International Swimming Hall of Fame paid tribute to its honorary director. Meanwhile, Mirko Sandic – a legend in water polo, passed away this week.
On a positive note, Swimming World Magazine publisher Brent Rutemiller went old school with a reading of an inspirational story on Christmas that reminded many listeners of the story narrations on the radio of long ago.
In premium news, Chuck Kroll checked out the first ISHOF Dedication and Honoree Class of 1965.
We also check out the top stories of this previous year in our Year in Review.
