SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: December 2, 2006
PHOENIX, Arizona, December 2. OVER the last week, the hits just kept coming as the college invitational season continued, and the U.S. Open began – all of which has been covered on SwimmingWorldMagazine.com. Additionally, even more high school state championships were reported, as well as the stream of recruit signing announcements from various colleges across the country.
Meanwhile, the French National Championships got underway, while we also announced the winners of the World Swimmer of the Year award as well as the various other regional honors.
Stephen J. Thomas checked in from Australia with a premium outlook piece on the Australian contingent heading into Worlds, while William & Mary's Kelly Reitz kept us up to date on her life during the past week in the "A Day in the Life" series.
Rewind offered The Complete Swimming World Magazine Anthology of Ian Thorpe, as well as foreshadowing Michael Phelps' World Swimmer of the Year award with a look back at his 2004 win.
