In the World Swimming section, John Lohn recapped the final edition of the U.S. Open that included top swims from big-time performers like Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff. Lohn also chipped in the cover story as he told the story of the 15th Asian Games, dominated by Park. Jason Marsteller closed out the event-recap trilogy with a look at the Australian World Championships Trials.

Two other stories will be found in the World Swimming section as Swimming World Magazine's chief Australian correspondent concluded his two-part look into the all-time long course meter times. This time, Thomas wrote about the women. Meanwhile, Eric Velazquez kept our readers abreast about "Water Polo Around the Globe," in what will be a regular feature this year.

Finally, in a packed World Swimming section, we list the long course meter National Age Group top 16 rankings.

In SWIM, Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen tells about the first time she learned about the split-feet turn in The Pool's Edge, while J.R. Rosania helps our Masters swimmers with their starts as well in Dryside Training for Powerful Legs. P.H. Mullen also checks in with an inspirational Survive & Thrive piece on Nancy McLaughlin, while Tiffany Forbes provides our Workout Card with kick sets.

In Swimming Technique, Dave Denniston spoke with Coach Brian Reynolds of Drury as well as put Reynolds on the record about Cara Fadel's training in How They Train. Michael Stott then explores the DVD set – "Life in the Fast Lane" by Frank Busch. Glenn Mills also advises on the two parts of each breaststroke kick.

In Junior Swimmer, we put the spotlight on Zach Stevens as our National Age Group Swimmer of the Month, while our Speedo American Relay section keeps our readers updated on everything occurring in the age group ranks. Finally, Wayne Goldsmith gives age group swimmers advice on how to choose their event in Goldminds.
