Swimming World Five-Star Kaitlin Frehling Makes College Commitment

SAINT PETERSBURG, Florida, August 11. ONE of Florida's top recruits in the Class of 2010 has made her decision. St. Petersburg Aquatics' Kaitlin Frehling recently committed to her college of choice.

Frehling, a Swimming World five-star recruit who represents Seminole High on the prep circuit, is remaining in-state to attend the University of Florida. Gregg Troy and Martyn Wilby should be happy with the addition to their program.

"I am really excited to inform you that I have verbally committed to the University of Florida," Frehling told Swimming World. "I committed to Florida because after seeing the program and feeling the commitment from the coaching staff towards me I felt like it was a perfect fit. I committed early because I knew it was the right place for me, and I didn't want to drag it on further."

Frehling is a sprint freestyler with some range into the butterfly events. Her top long course meter times reported are a 26.27 in the 50 free and a 56.97 in the 100 free. She also has a 1:02.06 in the 100 fly to her credit.
