Swedish Long Course Championships: Meet Comes To Close
HALMSTAD, Sweden, July 3. THE Swedish Long Course Championships came to a close today in Halmstad with a variety of event winners.
Sarah Sjostrom grabbed the women's 100 fly crown in 59.79, while Ida Marko-Varga placed second in 1:01.30. Miranda Bannsgard finished third in 1:01.65. Rebecca Ejdervik touched out Jennie Johansson, 1:11.05 to 1:11.08, in the women's 100 breast. Elin Martensson claimed third in 1:11.82.
Therese Svendsen hit the wall in 1:02.94 to win the women's 100 back. Sandra Hafstrom finished second in 1:03.03, while Ida Lindborg grabbed third in 1:03.20.
Paul Gordon snared the men's 100 free title in 51.11, while Lars Frolander placed second in 51.33. Robin Andreasson wound up third in 51.68. Frolander later won the men's 50 fly in 24.60, while Sebastian Holmberg took second in 24.64. David Larsson completed the top three in 24.70.
Johan Johansson captured the men's 50 breast in 28.99, while Jesper Akesson finished second in 29.01. Harald Johansson picked up third in 29.25. Kristian Kron claimed the men's 400 IM in 4:32.40, while Christoffer Wallin touched second in 4:35.04. Linus Kanth earned third in 4:36.01.
