Stoychev Captures Quebec Leg of Marathon Swimming World Cup
ROBERVAL, Quebec, Canada, July 29. PETAR Stoychev of Bulgaria snared gold in the Quebec leg of the FINA Marathon Swimming World Cup held at St. Jean Lake in Roberval, Quebec on Saturday.
The Bulgaria finished two minutes ahead of Egypt’s Mohamed El Zanaty with a 6:39:09 in front of Zanaty’s 6:41:45. Meanwhile, Argetina’s Damian Blaum garnered bronze in 6:42:00.
On the women’s side, former Northwestern Wildcat Erica Rose finished seventh overall and first for the women in 7:12:41. Canada’s Patricia Perrault earned silver in 7:40:52, while countrywoman Bianka Allard nabbed bronze in 7:58:53.
