Spring Baby Boom Down Under for Former Olympic Swimmers

By Stephen J. Thomas

SYDNEY, Australia. November 4. WELL it’s not quite a boom but two recently retired members of the Aussie swim team have seen their first born into the world in recent weeks. Three-time Olympian Sarah Ryan and her husband Angus were first across the line on September 26 with the birth of a baby boy Riley in Canberra just a little earlier than expected. Then in Perth, on October 13, dual Olympian Todd Pearson and his wife Alisa produced another healthy boy they have named Ari John. What chance these two young lads will be competing in the pool in a decade or so!
