South Carolina Brings in Class of 2025 Verbal from Franklin Regional Swim Team’s Mac Ratzlaff

NEW COMMIT: Trafalger, Ind. sprint freestyler Mac Ratzlaff has announced his verbal commitment to the University of South Carolina and will suit up for the Gamecocks in the fall of 2021.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming and academic career at the University of South Carolina! This wouldn’t be possible without the support from coaches, teammates and family! #spursup”

Ratzloff swims year-round with Franklin Regional Swim Team and owns a pair of Junior National standards. Last summer, he recorded five best times at Indiana LCM Seniors where his highest finish was a fifth-place showing in the 200m free.

His best times include:

50 free – 20.97
100 free – 44.98
200 free – 1:37.24
200 IM – 1:55.44

Also competing for Franklin Community High School, he finished third in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 free during his junior season at the Indiana State Championships.
