Single-Session Day Tickets for the World Swimming Championships Still on Sale

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 1. SINGLE-DAY tickets for the 2004 FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships are on sale to the public on through Ticketmaster. The event will take place Oct. 7-11, 2004, at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Single-Day tickets are good for both sessions (AM preliminaries and PM finals) on that day. Tickets will be sold for as low as $25.

Ticket pricing will be as follows:
Splash Zone, $60;
Gold Level, $50;
Silver Level, $35; and
Bronze Level, $25,
and will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Conseco Fieldhouse box office, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone numbers (317-239-5151 in central Indiana) and over the Internet at
www.ticketmaster.com.

In addition, group ticket packages are on sale now. Priority seating placement will be given to groups that order 10 or more tickets to any day of competition and multiple-day ticket orders. Group and multiple day tickets can be ordered now by contacting Justin Hirnisey of Indiana Sports Corporation at (800) HI-FIVES or tickets@worldswim2004.com.

Taking place in a short course (25 meters) format, the FINA World Swimming Championships will feature the world's elite swimmers from more than 100 countries just six weeks after the Athens Olympic Games.

Conseco Fieldhouse, the home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers and the WNBA's Indiana Fever, and one of the most acclaimed sporting venues in the world – will house a temporary 25-meter 300,000-gallon competition pool and a 175,000-gallon warm-up pool. It will be the first time a swimming event has taken place in an NBA arena.

The best and brightest stars in the world of swimming will compete at this event if they qualify through their respective national competitions. Headlining the list is 18-year-old American Michael Phelps, who set an unprecedented seven world records in just 41 days in 2003.

All-Session tickets remain on sale for the event as well. Splash Zone tickets are available for $300 and Gold Level tickets are $250. Both All-Session ticket packages are located in premium seats, located in the Krieg DeVault Club Level of Conseco Fieldhouse. All-Session tickets are good for all five days and 10 sessions of competition.
