Sarah Sjostrom Posts Swift 56 100 Fly At Atlanta

In the first event of the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series at Atlanta, Swedish World Record holder Sarah Sjostrom swam a 56.62 to win the 100 fly on Thursday night in Atlanta. Sjostrom finished ahead of American Kelsi Dahlia as both swimmers got their 2018 off to a good start with solid long course times on the first day of March.

Dahlia was second at 57.48 ahead of Canada’s Penny Oleksiak (58.36). Rebecca Smith (58.50), Amanda Kendall (58.82), Liliana Szilagyi (59.26), Olivia Carter (59.79) and Lillie Nordmann (59.85) also competed in the A-final.

Sjostrom will head down south to Ft. Lauderdale after this for “Sarah Sjostrom” day on March 3 as she will be honored with Swimming World’s swimmer of the year award.
