Ryan Lochte Set to Appear on Next Season of ‘Worst Cooks in America’
Ryan Lochte is returning to the world of reality television, as the Food Network announced that the 12-time Olympic medalist will be part of the cast for the next season of “Worst Cooks in America.” Lochte will be one of 10 contestants on the 30th season of the show, which will debut on Food Network at 8 p.m. on January 4.
In his bio on the Food Network, Lochte jokes that his culinary skills rank well below his ability in the pool, which made Lochte a four-time Olympian between 2004-2016. Among his 12 medals in Olympic competition, Lochte was the gold medalist in the 200 backstroke at the 2008 Games in Beijing and he won gold in the 400 individual medley at the 2012 Games in London.
The latest season’s cast for “Worst Cooks in America” comes primarily from the world of reality television. Lochte will be joined by: Lisa Barlow (The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City); Downtown Julie Brown (MTV VJ); Val Chmerkovskiy (Dancing with the Stars); Reza Farahan (Shahs of Sunset); Amara La Negra (Love & Hip Hop: Miami); Manila Luzon (RuPaul’s Drag Race); Romeo Miller (rapper/actor); Beverley Mitchell (7th Heaven); CT Tamburello (The Challenge and The Traitors USA).
Lochte previously appeared on the reality shows, “Dancing with the Stars” and “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?”
Lochte recently revealed that he is auctioning off three of his Olympic relay medals.
