Russian Cup: Sergei Makov Moves Into Top 25

Sergei Makov topped the men's 50 back in 25.38. That swim pushed him into a 20th-place tie in the rankings. Anton Butymov took second in 25.55, while Vitaly Melnikov finished third in 25.75.
Mihail Polishchuk won the men's 200 free in 1:49.67, while Anton Stepanov took second in 1:50.91. Boris Timatkov placed third in 1:51.02.
Andrey Krylov topped the men's 400 IM in 4:22.95, while Sergey Strelnikov touched second in 4:22.98. Ilya Volovnik wound up third in 4:25.07. Irina Nazarov hit the wall in 4:51.18 to win the women's 400 IM. Ekaterina Andreeva posted a second-place 4:52.70, while Kristina Kochetkova clocked a 4:54.48 for third.
Ekaterina Burdin won the women's 50 breast in 32.09, while Ekaterina Baklakova placed second in 32.19. Darya Deeva snared third in 32.46. Yana Martynova posted a 2:12.78 to win the women's 200 fly. Anastasia Lyazeva took second in 2:14.83, while Anna Kiseleva finished third in 2:198.29.
