Poll of The Week: Did Missy Franklin Make The Right Decision?
Left Sidebar
PHOENIX – This is the Poll of the week for Friday May 1, 2015 sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know if you thought Missy Franklin made the right decision to forfeit 2 years of her college swimming career to turn pro?
The results are in and…
80% of you said YES while 20% believe she should continue to swim in college.

Yes! I love Missy. She has so much more in store for her career. We never had anything like Pro swimmers back when I was swimming. It’s a good thing for her. She’s not dropping out of college, just college swimming. good for her!
Yes, without question!
Only she can answer that question.
She’s a focused young woman. Her success is her choice.
She made her decision for her reasons not for us to question. Leave the kid alone
I totally agree Marie-Reina Hoffman you said what I was thinking.
Time is money. Aging =/= sportsman’s career. Ncaa is too small for her level. If you win a Olympic medal on your sixteenth is because you’re something serious. She tried Ncaa also, she didn’t skip it, and got 1 championship. It’s what champions have to do. Turn pro. Good for her.
The girl has won a Olympic Medal at 16 only, how can you even ask a dumb question like that..
Yes! She can go back to college. Swim while you can!!!!!
She can go back to college. But her swimming career has a shelf life. Pursue what you’re great at, Missy!
ONCE A CHEATER….ALWAYS A CHEATER !
She can do what she wants
Why should we judge her and how could we? Go missy!
Yes! A thousand times Yes!
Swimming is nothing but a minor sport, not a professional career. Look at Michael Phelps who attended the Univesity of Michigan, was not able to compete at the NCAAs due to his non amateur status and endorsements, and ended up witout a education, degree , and a buch of laurels. Even Gary Hall Jr. never finished University of Texas nor needed a degree. It’s her decision not to have a college degree and go for the money.
Definitely–capitalize on your talent now; college is there whenever she chooses. The chance to be the best in the World, which requires 100% dedication, is a small window
