NEW COMMIT: The Woodlands, Texas native and Polish Junior National team member Zoe Gawronska has verbally committed to Auburn for the fall of 2019.

Gawronska swims year-round with Magnolia Aquatic Club and owns the Junior National or better standard in ten different events. She raced six events at 2017 Phillips 66 Nationals and finished fourth in the 500 free at Juniors West last winter. At the Polish Championships in May, she won the bronze medal in the 400m IM in addition to placing fifth in both the 200m IM and 200m back.

She told Swimming World:

“I am very thankful for the opportunity to study and swim at Auburn University for the next 4 years.”

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:46.93
  • 500 free – 4:44.73
  • 200 back – 1:57.67
  • 200 IM – 2:01.83
  • 400 IM – 4:14.56

Gawronska’s versatility will be extremely beneficial when she suits up for the Tigers as a member of the class of 2023. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 200 free and 500 free as well as the C-final of the 400 IM at the 2018 SEC Championships where Auburn finished fifth overall in the team standings.
