By Hideki Mochizuki

YOKOHAMA, Japan, October 31. DOUBLE backstroke world record-holder, Aaron Peirsol is now visiting Japan to give swim clinics to Japanese junior and Masters swimmers.

Yesterday, October 30, at Water Mates Swim Club in Yokohama, Peirsol gave a 2- hour swim clinic, sharing his experiences at the Athens Olympic Games with about 150 swimmers.

"Maybe 95% of all competitors think 'I hate to lose,'" he said,"but, you know, remaing five percent think: 'I am determined to win this race.'
That is a difference there which comes out in the last 5 meters of a race." Peirsol said speaking slowly and using easy to understand
English. The participants were so excited to see and touch the gold medal that Peirsol brought to show the kids.

Peirsol arrived in Japan on October 24 and is scheduled to leave on November 1. During a week-long stay in Japan, he plans to conduct a series of six swim clinics.
