LOWVILLE, New York, December 28. LOWVILLE swimming coach Robert "Bobb" Watkins died of complications from colon cancer on Monday at the age of 60 according to the Watertown Daily Times.
Watkins, who had coached Lowville's boys and girls teams during the past 30 years, had more than 300 dual meet victories to his credit. He had helped the boys team to a 2-1 record thus far this season before passing away.
Watkins is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and two grown children, son Sean and daughter Clancey.
