It’s a big week in terms of conference rivalries for the Pac-12. Friday and Saturday will see a number of conference dual meets as the teams approach the Pac-12 Conference Championship.
Top Storylines This Week:
- The Pac-12 Network begins its televised coverage of Swimming and Diving events this Friday with coverage of the dual meet between Arizona State and Stanford. The coverage will feature guest commentating by former Olympians Rowdy Gaines, Cynthia Potter, Michele Mitchell, and Amy Van Dyken along with the regular Pac-12 commentators.
- Double-headers. A number of the conference teams have back-to-back dual meets, including Arizona State, Stanford, Oregon State, Arizona, and California, which will test each team’s second-day resilience and longevity just before taper time.
- Men’s ranked match ups. No. 2 California takes on No. 13 Arizona, then No. 13 Arizona bounces back to take on No. 5 Stanford the day after. With four top 25 teams in one conference, expect to see close races and blistering times.
- Women’s ranked match ups. No. 7 California takes on No. 11 Arizona, then No. 11 Arizona takes on No. 2 Stanford. The Pac-12 boasts four top 25 ranked women’s teams as well, which makes for exciting meets during inter-conference match ups.
