Olympians And Tokyo Hopefuls Converge On Sydney’s Pool Of Dreams for NSW Championships

No less than 23 Rio Olympians led by gold medallists Kyle Chalmers (Marion, SA) , Cate and Bronte Campbell (Knox Pymble, NSW) and Emma McKeon (Griffith University, QLD) will line up in this week’s three-day 2020 NSW STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre starting Friday.

They will be joined by a host of Tokyo 2020 hopefuls led by 2019 Fina World Champion Ariarne Titmus and individual world championship medallists Matthew Wilson (SOPAC, NSW), Minna Atherton (Brisbane Grammar, QLD) and Kaylee McKeown (USC Spartans, QLD) in what is shaping as a “Mini Olympic Trials” event – featuring a who’s who of Australia’s top swimmers.

And Internationals from Argentina, India, Japan, New Zealand, New Caledonia and Sweden who will also be chasing world class competition in the lead up to the Olympics.

The 2020 Australian Olympic Trials will be swum at Adelaide’s SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre (June 14-19, 2020).
