Olivia Smoliga to Join CSL Broadcast Team for Match 3 at Stanford
The College Swimming League (CSL) has added some more star power to its broadcast team.
The CSL announced on Monday that Olympian Olivia Smoliga will join the team for the third match at Stanford on Friday, Oct. 2.
“The CSL brings an unmatched hype to swimming – this tourney is something I wish existed when I swam for Georgia,” Olivia Smoliga said.
Smoliga, a two-time Olympian, will follow fellow Olympian and Georgia swimming legend Brittany MacLean, who was on the broadcast for the first two meets.
They swam together at Georgia and brought the Bulldogs an NCAA championship.
“I can’t wait to get some pointers from my big sis Brittany MacLean who was on the last two matches like a boss,” Smoliga said in a reel on Instagram.
Smoliga still a competitive swimmer and trains in Frisco, Texas, to swim with Texas Ford Aquatics with Coley Stickels. She has joined several other avenues of the sport. She has her own podcast “In Deep With Olivia Smoliga” and started the In Depth Swim Academy.
This will be another way for her to make a mark in the sport.
“I am finding a groove now,” Smoliga told Swimming World. “I am definitely stretching myself. I want to do more to have eyes on swimming.”
