Ohio State Buckeyes Open Class of 2027 Recruiting With Verbal From Olympic Trials Qualifier Eli Stoll

NEW COMMIT: The Ohio State University has officially begun their Class of 2027 recruiting after receiving a verbal commitment from Olympic Trials qualifier Eli Stoll of Gahanna, Ohio.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am extremely grateful and thankful to announce my verbal commitment to The Ohio State University to continue my academic and athletic career. I want to thank my family, coaches and past and current swim team members for all the support you have given me along this journey. GO BUCKEYES!!!!”

Stoll does his club swimming with Greater Columbus Swim Team and raced the 100m back at Wave I of Olympic Trials this past summer before going on to take second in that event at Richmond Futures. Back in the spring, he finished sixth in the 100m back at Indianapolis Sectionals and posted three top-8 finishes at the TYR 18&U Spring Cup – Richmond.

His best times include:

  • 100 back – 49.08
  • 200 back – 1:47.53
  • 100 fly – 49.93
  • 200 fly – 1:49.30
  • 200 IM – 1:50.95

Currently a junior at Jonathan Alder High School, Stoll is already a four-time individual Ohio State Championship finalist. He placed second in the 100 back and fourth in the 100 fly as a sophomore while taking fourth in the 100 back and sixth in the 200 IM.
