North Carolina Adds Class of 2025 In-State Verbal from SwimMAC’s Kylie Yoder

NEW COMMIT: The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from in-state standout Kylie Yoder of Matthews, N.C. who announced via CollegeSwimming.

Yoder, who does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina, owns the Winter Juniors cut in the 200m free and recently earned two best times at Juniors East in December. This past summer, she won the 200m IM at North Carolina LCM Seniors before going on to record three top-12 finishes at Greensboro Futures.

A current junior at Weddington High School, Yoder is already a three-time North Carolina 3A State Championships finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American finished fourth in the 200 free during her sophomore season after taking 12th in the 200 free and 14th in the 500 free as a freshman.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“Excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Big thanks to my family, friends, and coaches for all their support through this journey! GO HEELS!”

Her best times include:

  • 100 free – 51.68
  • 200 free – 1:50.56
  • 100 back – 57.17
  • 100 fly – 56.36
  • 200 IM – 2:06.54

Yoder will join Greer Pattison, Katie Rauch and Elizabeth Sowards as well as twins Olivia and Georgia Nel as members of the Tar Heels’ class of 2025.
