NEW COMMIT: Marion, Ohio native Madison Linstedt has handed the University of New Hampshire a verbal commitment for the fall of 2019.

Linstedt does her club swimming with Ohio State Swim Club and concluded her long course season with four finals appearances at Spire Sectionals and had a trio of lifetime bests at the ISCA Junior National Championships in March. Also swimming for Elgin High School, she finished tenth in both the 100 fly and 200 free at the Ohio State Championships as a junior after placing seventh in the 100 fly and ninth in the 200 IM during her sophomore season.

She told Swimming World:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of New Hampshire. I want to thank my parents and coaches for helping me every step of the way. Go Wildcats!”

Her best times include:

  • 200 IM – 2:07.18
  • 400 IM – 4:30.66
  • 100 fly – 56.92
  • 200 back – 2:04.11

Linstedt will make an immediate impact when she arrives at New Hampshire as a member of the class of 2023. She would’ve scored in the A-final of the 100 fly, 200 back and 200 IM at the 2018 America East Championships where the Wildcats captured their seventh program conference title.
