NCAP’s Molly Kennedy Lends Florida Southern College First Verbal for 2021-22 Season

NEW COMMIT: Florida Southern College has received their first verbal commitment for the class of 2025 from Ashburn, Va. native Molly Kennedy, who will suit up for the Mocs in the fall of 2021.

She told Swimming World:

“So incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming career at Florida Southern College beginning in the fall of 2021! Thank you so much to my amazing coaches, family, team, and friends who supported me every step of the way; I couldn’t have gotten here without them! Go Mocs!” 

Kennedy is a distance freestyler who swims year-round with Nation’s Capital Swim Club and most recently had a pair of top-20 finishes at Potomac Valley Seniors. She earned two best times at the NCAP Invitational in December and collected silver in the 800m free at the PVS LCM Championships last summer.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:59.29
  • 500 free – 5:11.40
  • 1000 free – 10:44.46
  • 1650 free – 17:47.99

Also competing for Stone Bridge High School where she is a team captain, Kennedy is a three-time Virginia 5A State Championship finalist. As a sophomore, she won the 500 free at the Virginia 5C Region Championships and is a two-time team MVP.
