NCAA Weekend Preview: The Top 10

CRANBURY, N.J., November 10. EACH week, SwimmingWorldMagazine.com will take a look at the schedules for the top-rated squads in the nation according to the dual-meet rankings produced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. Here's a glance at this week's slate.
WOMEN
1. California: The Golden Bears, led by breaststroker Jessica Hardy, notched a win over Pacific in their last meeting. California will next be in action on November 17 against Cal-Santa Barbara.
2. Florida: Undefeated in three outings, the Gators will look to continue their roll when they face Louisiana State in Southeastern Conference action on Thursday.
3. Stanford: The Cardinal took a 45-point decision from Texas in late October and will square off with Auburn and Tennessee this weekend in a two-day affair.
4. Auburn: Coach David Marsh will lead his squad into dual-meet action on Friday and Saturday against Stanford and Tennessee, both nationally ranked programs.
5. Arizona: The Wildcats bested Wisconsin last week and will be traveling to Los Angeles this weekend for action against Southern California and UCLA.
6. Southern California: Amanda Weir headlines the roster for the Trojans, who will face Arizona (Friday) and Arizona State (Saturday) this weekend.
7. Southern Methodist: Coming off victories over Rice, Houston and Oregon State, the Mustangs will tangle with North Texas on Friday.
8. Georgia: The Bulldogs earned a win over Michigan last time out and will next be in action against Emory and Arkansas next weekend.
9. Texas A&M: The Aggies claimed a major win last week over Texas and will return to competition next week for the Art Adamson Invitational.
10. Michigan: The Wolverines were topped by Georgia last week and will be in the pool against Ohio State (Friday) and Princeton (Saturday) this weekend.
MEN
1. Auburn: Top-ranked and building toward another NCAA Championship run, the Tigers are idle this week. They return to face Alabama next weekend.
2. Stanford: The Cardinal competed at the Stanford Relays on Wednesday and will be taking part in the Speedo Cup from November 16-18 in Long Beach (Calif.).
3. Texas: One week after beating California and Indiana, the Longhorns will try to extend their winning ways during a matchup with Florida on Friday.
4. California: After defeating Indiana and falling to Texas, the Golden Bears raced at the Stanford Relays on Wednesday. They'll compete at the Husky Invitational in Federal Way (Wash.) from December 1-3.
5. Arizona (tie): On the strength of wins over Wisconsin and UC-Santa Barbara, the Wildcats head into action against Southern California this week on a high note.
5. Minnesota (tie): The Golden Gophers secured a win over North Carolina last week. They'll be back in action at the Minnesota Invitational from November 17-19.
7. Northwestern: The Wildcats bettered Purdue last week and will be tangling with Wisconsin in Friday competition.
8. Southern California: The Trojans are scheduled for a pair of meets this week, as they'll see Arizona and Arizona State in Friday and Saturday action.
9.Georgia: Fresh off a decision over Michigan, the Bulldogs will take part in this weekend's Purdue Duals.
10. Florida: Coming off back-to-back losses to Georgia and Minnesota, the Gators will try to rebound against Texas on Friday.
