NCAA Division I Women’s Championship Day 1 Preview: Michigan Top Seed in 800 Relay

The NCAA Division I Women’s Championships will begin tonight with the 800-yard freestyle relay.

The opening event should come down to the wire between Michigan, Stanford and Cal based on the seeding.

Michigan has the top seed at 6:52.04, followed by Cal (6:52.62) and Stanford (6:53.86).

Virginia (6:55.55), Texas A&M (6:55.60), Texas (6:57.84) and USC (6:56.85) are also in the final of three timed heats.

Georgia, Tennessee and Minnesota are the three tops seeds in the second heat and will try to break into the top eight.
