Natalie Coughlin started Team USA’s women’s 400-meter medley relay with a Pan American Games record in the 100 back with the rest of the team finishing off a record of its own.
Coughlin raced her way to a sizzling time of 59.20 to break the previous Pan American Games mark of 59.61 set by Etiene Medeiros during her 100 back gold medal performance last night.
That put Coughlin fourth in the world rankings this year.
