Mountaineers Keep Delaney Householder Local For 2024-25

NEW COMMIT: West Virginia University has kept in-state versatile standout Delaney Householder in state, as the Morgantown, W.Va. native verbally committed to the Mountaineers for Fall 2024.

She told Swimming World:

“I am extremely excited and proud to commit verbally to swim for the Mountaineers! The entire team and coaching staff made me feel at home on my visit and I can’t wait to become a part of the Mountaineer swim family, and am looking forward to swimming and competing in the newly reconfigured Big 12 Conference in the future! Let’s Go!!!”
No stranger to WVU’s program, Householder does her club swimming with Club Mountaineer Aquatics and won three events at the West Virginia LCM Championships this past summer. She also earned eight top-4 finishes at West Virginia SCY Championships back in March, highlighted by four silver medals.

Her best times include:

  • 100 free – 53.59
  • 200 free – 1:54.64
  • 500 free – 5:04.70
  • 100 back – 58.12
  • 200 back – 2:04.92
  • 200 IM – 2:08.43

Currently a senior at Morgantown High School, Householder earned silver in the 200 IM and bronze in the 100 back at the 2023 West Virginia State Championships. She took second in both the 200 IM and 500 free during her sophomore season.
