NEW COMMIT: The Ohio State University has received a verbal commitment from Morgan Kraus for the 2019-20 season. The Rockford, Mich. native is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American as well as a NISCA All-American.

Kraus swims for Rockford Community Swim Team where she is a US Open qualifier. She is also the Michigan High School record-holder in the 100 fly, defending her title in a personal-best 53.73 at last year’s MHSAA state meet while representing Rockford High School.

Kraus announced to Swimming World,

What stood out the most to me about Ohio State was the culture; one that encourages excellence in the pool, in the classroom, and in the community. I felt right at home with the team and can’t wait to be a Buckeye!

Her best times in SCY:

  • 50 Free – 23.40
  • 100 Back – 55.42
  • 200 Back – 2:01.83
  • 50 Fly – 26.10
  • 100 Fly – 53.73

The Buckeyes will eagerly await Kraus’ arrival on campus in fall of 2019 as her best 100 fly time would’ve placed her 15th at last season’s Big Ten Championships.
