Mohammad Kobadi Swimming Across The Persian Gulf
PERSIAN GULF. December 28. NINE days into his solo stage swim across the Persian Gulf, 34-year-old Mohammad Hosein Bibi Kobadi forges on at an excellent pace.
Kobadi swims every day, starting at the same point that he finished the day before in an unprecedented attempt to swim 1,000 kilometers across the Persian Gulf. Today, he swam 16.2K, starting from Qeshm Island in the Darkooh area. With the water temperature 21.6°C and humidity at 87%, today's swim was completed in 6 knot winds that kicked up a good amount of dust along with 2-foot waves. After 90 minutes, the water smoothed out as he was escorted throughout by a medical team on his escort boat and a few military frigates along the way.
The journey, that will average 10 kilometers per day, is the first of kits kind across the Persian Gulf.
