Miskovic Hired As Arizona State Assistant Swimming Coach

TEMPE, Ariz. FORMER University of Virginia assistant coach Annemarie Miskovic has been hired as an assistant coach for the Arizona State Swimming & Diving program, Sun Devil head swimming coach Mike Chasson announced. Miskovic begins her duties today with the Sun Devil program.

The native of Rijeka, Croatia returns to Tempe following four years at Virginia. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education from the University of Zagreb in 1996, Miskovic came to ASU and served as a volunteer assistant coach for the women's swimming team until 1998. She then went to the Cavalier program where she primarily worked with the sprinters on both the men's and women's squads.

While at Virginia, Miskovic coached numerous All-Americans, conference champions and school record-holders, and in 2003 she helped the men's team reach its first ever top-10 national finish.

Her experience also includes age group coaching with Sun Devil Aquatics and the Charlottesville Youth Aquatics Club in addition to the renowned Croatian swim club Mladost.
