NEW COMMIT: Green Bay, Wisc. native and current high school junior Kaiser Neverman has recently announced his verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota.

Neverman does his club swimming with Green Bay YMCA and owns four Winter Junior standards with the U.S. Open cut in the 100 fly. He most recently competed at the Wisconsin 13&O Championships where he won the 100 IM and 100 fly while taking second in the 200 free. At YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer, he won the 100m fly and took second in the 200m fly after taking seventh in both events at YMCA SCY Nationals last April.

Also competing for Green Bay Southwest High School, Neverman is a six-time Wisconsin DI State Championship finalist. He earned bronze in the 50 free and placed fourth in the 100 fly as a junior after being the 100 fly runner-up and taking fourth in the 200 IM during his sophomore season.

He told Swimming World:

“I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota!  The amazing team and supportive coaches made the school feel like home, and I’m excited to be a part of the Gopher family!  Big thanks to my parents, my highschool coaches, and my club coach Dave Korst for the support over the years to get me here!  Go Gophers!”

His best times include:

  • 100 fly – 48.11
  • 200 fly – 1:48.30
  • 50 free – 20.79
  • 100 free – 45.21
  • 200 free – 1:39.35

Neverman has made tremendous improvements each season with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go before suiting up for the Gophers as a member of the class of 2024. Over the past two seasons, he has dropped a second in the 50 free, two in the 100 free/100 fly, six in the 200 fly and nine seconds in the 200 free.
