Massachusetts Women’s Division 1 High School State Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts, March 12. GARDNER, propelled by two relay wins, captured the Massachusetts Women's Division I High School State Championship with ease.
Gardner scored a meet-high 253 points en route to first place. North Andover finished in second with 143 points while Barnstable raked in 135 points and finished third.
The Gardner 200 medley relay foursome of Tina Belletete, Lindsey Hagens, Hannah Kondrotas and Eve Barnard strung together a first-place finish in 1:52.47 while Gardner's 200 freestyle relay team (Barnard, Anna MacKay, Shannon Lambert and Hagens) stopped the clock in a gold standard of 1:41.40.
Hagens scorched the field in each of her two individual events, turning in first-place performances in the 200 IM (2:07.27) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.07).
Katie Feng from Westford Academy snatched up the diving title with a 456.25 score. Concord-Carlisle picked up the second and third place spots with Sloane Brazina and Amy Zuerndorfer earning the silver and bronze medals with scores of 443.35 and 403.75, respectively.
