PARIS, France, July 13. LAURE Manaudou, the French sensation who recently took down Janet Evans' long-standing world record in the 400 freestyle, is entered in six individual events for the European Championships, which begin at the end of this month and run through early August.
Manaudou, a triple-event medalist at the Athens Olympics, will race the 200, 400 and 800 freestyles in Budapest, Hungary, along with the 100 backstroke and the 200 and 400 individual medley events. Manaudou could push world-record standards in the three freestyle events.
